Macao: urban, luxury and history.

Traveling

I just got back from the most amazing trip to Macao and I thought I might give you my personal favorites from the trip. Maybe I should start doing more travel guides?  Is it something you like?

With a direct flight from Scandinavia the trip was easy and sleeping the whole flight wasn’t a problem for me. Without even leaving the airport our luggage was transfered to the direct ferry and we got to Macao safe and sound.

So Macao is different from anything I’ve experienced before. It’s the perfect asian mix between Las Vegas and Dubai. I’m so happy I got the chance to visit this unreal place. I’m now listing my TOP THINGS TO DO IN MACAU, for you to get inspired:

  1. Tower Climb at the Macau Tower. I can honestly say that I’ve never experienced anything like this. I was shaking and smiling at the same time while climbing on one of the top 10 highest towers in the world. I love extreme things and this is the most extreme situation I’ve ever been in. The highest urban climb is in Macau so if you dare, you have to experience this. If the climb is to much for you the skywalk is a simple version where you don’t have to climb but just walk outside and still get a little bit of the thrill. And the last option if you want adventure, but still wanna be on the ground, go visit the Legend Heroes Park. It was a crazy VR experience and I loved it. Maybe you can even climb the Macau tower thru that VR in a few years.Tower climb at Macau Tower.Studio city.
  2.  Galaxy hotel is so much more than just a hotel. It’s a water park, a spa, a shopping mall, a casino and a place full of art. We did spend our free time at the pool and enjoyed everything from food to shopping. Just look at this photo…
  3. When it comes to food I got two favorite restaurants from our day in the city and interesting thing is they were both located in the same building as my hotel. Terrazza Italian Restaurant had great service and amazing italian food. Yamazato servered Incredible sushi also located in the Galaxy. We ordered something simple but it turned out to be more flavorful then we could ever imagine. It’s walking distance if you want to visit The Parisian, Galaxy and Studio City in the same night.
  4. Lou Lim loc garden. A beautiful garden that dosen’t look like anything I’ve seen before. A must if you’re in the city. A bit hidden, but the view of big city skyscrapers and nature is unbelievable. You find a lot of history in the city as well…

Macau is a great destination for a week of rest or if you only get a weekend on your trip to Hong Kong. It’s easy to maximize your days and do as much as possible in the short time you’re here and if you follow my guide, you’ll get a fun couple of days.
